Lebanon Man Shot

Lebanon police are still looking for an individual responsible for an early morning shooting.

At 1am Tuesday morning in the 16th block of Timber Creek, Matthew Boggs was found lying in the street with a gunshot wound to the leg. Police Chief Joe Brauer says that the witnesses heard the gunshot but did not see the shooter.

“The witnesses we interviewed, no one actually saw the incident happen, they heard a popping sound if you will and they looked out and saw an individual laying in the street”

The suspect was last seen speeding away in a white four door Pontiac Bonneville. As for the reason why the shooting occurred, Brauer says they are sure at this time.

“We don’t know why this happened, what we do know is that a young man, white male 23 years of age, was walking on Timber Creek Road, early this morning, close to 1 o’clock. A vehicle approached him, identified as a white Pontiac Bonneville. We’re under the belief from our investigation and witnesses that they’re were 2 people in the vehicle and the passenger was the one who fired one single shoot at the victim and then the vehicle sped away”

Lebanon police are asking for anyone with information to contact the Police Department as soon as possible

“Anyone that has any information regarding the incident is asked to call the Lebanon police department, if you don’t want to give your name that’s fine, if you have information that will lead us in the right direction, that’s what we’re looking for”
