Daughter-in-Law of Congressman Killed in Crash

The daughter-in-law of Missouri’s 9th District Congressman dies in a car accident. 

About 2 o’clock Friday afternoon, twenty-seven-year old Amy Berhorst Luetkemeyer was headed north on Missouri 133 two miles north of Meta, her hometown.

Luetkemeyer’s Mazda 6 crossed the centerline and sideswiped a southbound vehicle and went off the left side of the road. Amy overcorrected and the Mazda came back onto the road and was hit by a Dodge Ram.

Luetkemeyer was wearing her seat belt.  She was taken to Capitol Region Medical Center where she died Friday afternoon.

KRCG reported yesterday that the congressman was headed to Missouri from Washington some time Friday afternoon.

Neither of the other drivers, both who were from Meta, were injured.
