A Valley Park man is flown to University Hospital in Columbia after a boat explosion Saturday morning at the 7 Mile Mark.  Emergency crews were called at 8:50 to Toad Cove.  63 year old Donald Black has finished fueling his 2000 Baja when he started the boat and it exploded.

Black was able to jump from the boat to the water.  He was taken to a landing zone and flown to Columbia with serious injuries including burns.

The boat sank to the bottom.
