Historical Preservation Money Available
Over $50,000 will be available statewide for cites, counties, and historical societies interested in preserving records.
The Missouri Secretary of State’s Office is making $56,800 available for historical records preservation and access projects.
The money comes from a grant through the National Historical Publications and Records Commission. The money is awarded through the Missouri Historical Records Grant Program which has preserved things like Holocaust survivor documents in St. Louis and Kansas City municipal architectural drawings.
All state and public records are eligible for grants. Projects that preserve and provide access to historical records are also eligible. To find out more before the October 1st application deadline call 573-751-4303.
