An Osage Beach man is jailed and facing domestic assault charges after an incident last Friday. 

Osage Beach Police were called at 10:30 Friday night and told to look out for a black SUV involved in a domestic.

Apparently earlier in the night a man and woman were seen fighting inside the SUV. The woman tried to exit the vehicle and the man pulled her back in and began striking her in the back of the head with his fist.

Soon after the call an Osage Beach officer saw a black Dodge Durango headed west.  The officer pulled up next to the car and saw the driver who matched the male description.  The female in the passenger seat was also crying with juvenile children in the backseat.

The officer pulled over the Durango and arrested 26 year old Travis Lee Nelson of Osage Beach.  He is charged with one count of domestic violence and is being held on $25,000.

The female did not require medical attention and she and the children were released.
