Two Local Parks Round Out Top Three
Two local state parks are close to the top of a list of the best state parks in the midwest.
AAA’s Midwest Traveler magazine has awarded Lake of the Ozarks State Park the number two spot and Ha Ha Tonka the number three spot on the best of list. Table Rock State Park near Branson took top honors by an almost two to one margin.
Lake of the Ozarks State Park Superintendent Bill Arnold says the diversity of his state park is what makes the destination so popular, highlighting the horse, bike, and walking trails , the cabins, boat access, and camping.
Ha Ha Tonka Superintendent Nancy Masterson says people enjoy Ha Ha Tonka because they can spend a cost free day hiking and enjoying the scenery.
