Nixon Appoints MoDNR Director Search Committee
Nine Missourians from across the state will be helping the state pick a new director for the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
Kip Stetzler is acting director of the department after the announcement Monday that former director Mark Templeton would be heading up the BP oil spill trust in Washington D.C.
Yesterday, Governor Jay Nixon appointed nine members to the committee, including two people from St. Louis, two from Kansas City, and one person from Brunswick, Columbia, Jefferson City, Springfield and Rolla.
Members of the committee come from a variety of backgounds including the David Murphy, Executive Director of the Conservation Federation of Missouri, William Jackson general manager of AGRI Services, a wholesale fertilizer company, And Warren Wray, a civil engineer who is Provost for Academic Affairs at the Missouri University of Science and Technology.
