Ameren UE Will Become Ameren Missouri

Starting in October, Ameren Corporation will be doing business under two newly named subsidiaries.  

Ameren UE will become Ameren Missouri on October first.

Ameren CILCO, ameren CIPS and Ameren IP will also merge and become Ameren Illinois Company.  Letters were mailed Wednesday to inform customers of the change.

Thomas Voss, the CEO of Ameren Corporation said since the two utility companies in the two states operate under different regulatory environments and business models, the corporation believes it can better communicate with its stakeholders by identifying the subsidiaries by where they do business.

The new names also come with a bill format change for Ameren Missouri and Ameren Illinois Company customers.
