A third death on the water happens Sunday night at the 55 Mile Mark. 

The Missouri State Water Patrol was called to Proctor Cove at almost 10:15 Sunday night.

Witnesses say that 18-year old James Peak of Holden, Missouri, went down to a dock at a home where he was staying with family.  A family member heard a splash and went to the dock and could not locate James.  The family member returned to the home for a flashlight and using the light was able to locate James’ cap in the water.

Authorities were called.  The MSWP dragged the bottom near the dock and recovered Peak’s body at just after 11 last night.

This is the third death on the water this Labor Day weekend holiday.
