Bridge Traffic Will Shift for a Month
The eastbound Grand Glaize Bridge could be closed down by the end of the week.
Weather permitting, McAninch Corporation will shut down one lane of the westbound bridge Thursday evening from 6 in the evening to six in the morning. While the lane is closed, McAninch will stripe the westbound bridge, laying out four nine foot ten inch lanes.
Once the striping is finished early Friday morning all traffic on Highway 54 will be shifted to the westbound bridge with the configuration in place about 25 days.
While the eastbound bridge is closed, McAninch will build tie in connectors from the eastbound bridge to the new expressway.
MoDOT says rain may change the scheduled shift.
