Right to Work Plans in State Senate
Monday, January 30th, 2012
The state senate’s going to have another run at legislation to make Missouri a “right-to-work” state. A senate committee’s approved a bill making it a misdemeanor to require workers to pay union fees as a condition of employment. One of the two bills would be on the ballot if it gets legislative approval. Business groups say ‘right to work’ could attract more jobs, and unions say it would allow people to get benefits without paying for their representation in bargaining talks.
