Sunrise Beach Power Outage

The west side of Lake of the Ozarks experienced a power outage for nearly an hour this morning. Approximately 1,400 Co-Mo Electric customers along the Highway 5 corridor from the Affiliated Acceptance Company office to Bass Point Road in Sunrise Beach were affected. Hurricane Deck Elementary School lost power, but emergency generators quickly turned the lights back on. Co-Mo says the outage was caused by equipment failure from an earlier lighting strike.
