Motorcyclist Airlifted to Hospital

A motorcyclist was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield after a wreck on Route D south of Tri-Hollow Road in Camden County Tuesday night. 33-year-old Paul Word of Lebanon suffered serious injuries when, according to the Highway Patrol, he failed to negotiate a curve and his Honda went off the right side of the road, struck a sign and then a ditch.
