Shoplifters Arrested at Nike Outlet Store
A man and two women suspected of shoplifting shoes from the Nike outlet store in Osage Beach have been charged with stealing. Witnesses provided officers with detailed descriptions of the suspects and their vehicle, which was located on Osage Beach Parkway. Inside, police say they found the stolen shoes along with clothing items from at least one other store in the Factory Outlet Village Mall. Alex Gipson, Anntwenette Herron and Kristin Robertson were arrested.
On 09-26-2012 at approximately 1631 hours Osage Beach Police Department received
a report of a theft in progress from the Nike Outlet Store. The suspects were witnessed
stealing several pairs of shoes. The witnesses were able to provide officers with a detailed
description of the suspects and the suspect vehicle, a silver Lincoln Navigator with large
after market wheels and a license plate number of FH2N9C Mo.
The vehicle was stopped near the 4300 block of the Osage Beach Parkway. Contained in
the vehicle were the stolen shoes as well as clothing from at least one other store. Most of
the items stolen were damaged due to the security sensors being ripped from them.
Gipson was charged with misdemeanor stealing and posted a surety bond. Both Herron
and Robertson were transferred to the Camden County Jail because they are repeat
offenders. Upon arraignment, Herron was charged with misdemeanor stealing $500 cash
or $5000 surety and Robertson was charged with felony stealing $1000 cash or $10,000
surety.
We strongly encourage that all shoplifters are prosecuted and that victims follow through
with that prosecution. Stores that have crime prevention procedures in place, are less
likely to become victims because of prevention or apprehension of suspects.
