Former Macks Creek Teacher Charged With Statutory Rape

A former Macks Creek High School tracher has been charged with statutory rape of a student. 40-year-old Jenner Shaffer was arrested after a teenage girl told Miller County Sheriff’s investigators, during questioning on an unrelared matter, that he was the father of her one-year-old child. The former student said they had a relationship during the 2010-2011 school year and she became pregnant by the teacher. Shaffer, who taught English at the school, left Macks Creek in May of 2011 and moved to northern Missouri. He was located by Camden County Sheriff’s investigators at his home in Wheatland. Shaffer is currently free on $3,500 bail, awaiting an October 29th court appearance in Camdenton. Macks Creek school officials say they had no knowledge of the alleged relationship prior to being contacted by law enforcement.
