Van Note Out on Bail, Could Be Flight Risk
More information is being released about the murder case against 44-year old Susan Van Note. She posted a million dollars bond last week and was released from the Camden County Jail. Authorities say that was done with a cashier’s check. Van Note’s attorney is not sure where the money came from, but does say that her law firm declared bankruptcy a few years ago. Prosecutors say they consider her to be a flight risk. Van Note is scheduled to stand trial on December 12th on charges of first degree murder and forgery. Van Note is accused of being involved in the shooting and stabbing of her father William Van Note in his Sunrise Beach home in October of 2010. Prosecutors also say she forged a note that took her father off of life support at a Columbia hospital.
