OBFPD Will Continue Dock Safety Inspections for Another Year
Thursday, October 25th, 2012
The Osage Beach Fire Protection District will keep inspecting docks within city limits for another year. The Board of Aldermen voted to renew the agreement at their meeting last week. The district has been providing those safety inspections at docks citywide for several years. Because a recent change in state law appeared to remove fire districts’ authority to enforce building codes, the aldermen decided the agreement was the best way to continue offering the service.
