Stover Pastor Back in Court

A Morgan County pastor makes a court appearance on charges related to sex crimes that allegedly happened several years ago. 42-year old Travis Smith was in a Moniteau County courtroom yesterday for a status hearing. He is charged with forcible rape, two counts of statutory rape and one count of sexual abuse related to incidents in 1998 and 1999. Smith is also charged with rape and sodomy related to an incident in 2005. Smith is the pastor of the First Baptist Church in Stover. He will be back in court on December 4th for a case review.
