Stover Police Chief Pleads Guilty to DUI Charge, Back on the Job
Friday, November 16th, 2012
A Morgan County police chief will be back on the job, one day after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge of driving while intoxicated. Stover Police Chief Trampus Jackson made the plea yesterday in Morgan County court. He was given a 90 day jail sentence, but that was suspended and Jackson was given two years of probation. Prosecutors say in January of 2011, Jackson crashed his car into a vehicle that was driven by a pregnant woman. Jackson is expected to be back at his job this morning.
