SBFPD Getting Relief Firefighter Next Year

The Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District expects to fill a firefighter in a relief position in March. The job was included in the new budget. Chief Dennis Reilly says the now post won’t be assigned to a specific platoon or shift, bull will be used as a fill in of someone else is off. If no one’s off, then the relief post will work the regular 10-hour day. The goal is to keep three people assigned to each engine.
