Here’s one for the books
The Sheriff’s Office says deputies were checking on a stranded driver along Highway 63 in Vichy when David L. Williams, 31, of St. Clair pulled up next to the deputies and asked if they wanted to race.

Williams then sped away from the deputies in a car that matched a stolen vehicle description from Crocker. Deputies pursued Williams, at times traveling in excess of 90 mph through Vienna. In order to stop Williams, a Vienna officer fired two shots into the engine compartment of the vehicle, before law enforcement successfully blocked in Williams and the vehicle.
