No Grant for Camdenton School District

After a lot of meetings and some controversy, there will be no Race to the Top Grant for the Camdenton School District. The district was not one of the 61 nationwide finalists on the list released yesterday by the US Department of Education. The finalists, representing more than 200 school districts, were selected from 372 applications the Department received in November to demonstrate how districts could personalize education for students and provide school leaders and teachers with key tools that support them to meet students’ needs.Three other districts in Missouri were chosen as finalists.
