Domestic Assault Arrest in Osage Beach

An Osage Beach man is facing three charges related to a domestic assault at their home last week. Osage Beach Police say last Friday night, 28-year-old Joseph Swaney allegedly beat his wife and threatened her with a knife at their duplex on Parkwood Circle. Officers forcibly entered the house after watching Swaney take his wife to the ground. He was arrested after a brief struggle with officers. The 25-year-old woman was taken to Lake Regional Hospital for treatment of a cut and bruises to her head and face. Police also say a puppy at the home was allegedly beaten by Swaney, and was later found cowering in an upstairs bedroom.  Swaney has been charged with domestic assault, armed criminal action and resisting arrest. He is being held without bond in the Camden County Jail.
