Record Year for Sunrise Beach Fire District

2012 was a busy year for the Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District. Chief Dennis Reilly says his department handled a record 743 calls.

Chief Reilly says other Lake-area fire districts also had increases in emergency calls last year:

Reilly says the district averaged about 50 calls a month. The busiest months were July and August. The Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District covers 58 square miles with full-time and volunteer personnel.
