No Decision For Sunrise Beach Asphalt Plant

A decision on a conditional use permit for an asphalt plant in Sunrise Beach is put off until next month. At their meeting last night, the Sunrise Beach Planning and Zoning Commission tabled the request from Magruder Limestone, Inc. of Troy, Missouri until February 6th so that they can review concerns of citizens brought before the commission. Resident Barbara Robinson who lives about 500 feet from the proposed plant site says an asphalt plant that was there before has given her many reasons for not wanting another one there again.

The Planning and Zoning Commission also tabled the decision to review documents and photos of the proposed plant. Their next meeting will be on Monday, February 6th at 6:00 in the evening at the Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District Station Number One Administration Building.
