Starving Cattle Found Near Stover

Dozens of dead or dying cattle have been found on a property on Highway 135, south of Stover.  The Morgan County Sheriff’s Department says 15 cows were dead of starvation, and 20 more emaciated and in need of attention. The property owner’s name was not released, because formal charges have not yet been filed.  Those charges are expected to include felony animal abuse and torture.
