Osage Beach Drug Bust, Weapons Arrest

A man and woman were arrested after Osage Beach police discovered marijuana and firearms in their vehicle during a traffic stop.  22-year-old Victoria Petrie and 23-year-old Kenyatta Sims, both of Jefferson City, were seen at 3:48 a.m. on Friday night, traveling at a high speed on Highway 54. exiting onto Jeffries Road.  An officer approached the vehicle and discovered a bag of marijuana and a handgun sitting in the front seat as Petrie exited the vehicle. A search revealed fully loaded magazines, loose .40 caliber rounds, marijuana prepackaged to sell and a bag of pills believed to be Valium. Petrie was charged with Possession of Marijuana w/Intent to Distribute and Unlawful use of Drug Paraphernalia and Sims was charged with Possession of Marijuana w/Intent to Distribute, Possession of Controlled Substance Marijuana, and Unlawful Use of Drug Paraphernalia.
