One Arrested After Crash on Route Y in Miller County

A 38-year old man is taken by helicopter to a Columbia hospital and a 60-year old man is arrested after a crash over the weekend in Miller County.  The Missouri Highway Patrol says late yesterday afternoon, a pick up truck driven by 60-year old Gerald Wisniewski of O’Fallon went off of Route Y near Route Z.  He over corrected which caused the vehicle to go off the left side and overturn.  John Callahan of O’Fallon was seriously injured in the crash.  The Highway Patrol says Wisniewski was arrested on charges of assault and failure to drive on the right half of the road.  He was taken to the Miller County Jail on a 24 hour hold.
