Lake Ozark Business Must Change Name

A Lake Ozark bar will have to change its name after it is found to be infringing on the logo and trademarks of another business in Missouri.  The ruling was handed down by a federal judge in US District Court.  A lawsuit had been filed by a St. Louis businessman against Shady’s at the Lake on Bagnell Dam Boulevard.  The judge’s order states the business must stop using the name or anything similar to it along with turning over anything with the Shady’s logo on it.  The business was also ordered to pay a fine of 300 thousand dollars.  The lawsuit was filed by a St. Louis businessman that operates Shady Jack’s Café.
