Deputies Respond to More Calls, Make Fewer Arrests in Camden County

The Camden County Sheriff’s Department experienced a huge increase in calls last year, while the number of arrests were down compared to 2011.  Deputies responded to over 39,000 calls for service in 2012,  an increase of about 4,000 over the previous year.  Deputies made 1,771 arrests last year, 20 fewer than in 2011.  Driving While Intoxicated  and drug arrests were also down slightly. Camden County deputies made 128 arrests for DWI last year and 162 for drugs.
