Highway Patrol Says Inmate’s Death Not Suspicious
Thursday, January 31st, 2013
An investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol has determined that an inmate’s death at the Miller County Jail this week was not suspicious. Sergeant Erik Eidson with the Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control says, “The investigation has been concluded and it was determined to be a suicide. No foul play.” 22-year-old James Jensen of Eldon was found hanging in his cell Monday night. Jensen had been in jail since early January when he was arrested for violating his probation following convictions last year on burglary and car theft charges.
