Sunrise Beach FPD Replaces Obsolete Equipment with Shootout Money

The Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District has been able to replace some obsolete equipment thanks to the donation it received from the 2012 Lake of the Ozarks Shootout.  Chief Dennis Reilly says the district purchased a new high-pressure rescue air bag set:

Reilly says the air bags could be critical in a situation like a car wreck where a vehicle has overturned and someone is trapped, or in any type of accident where a heavy object falls on top of someone.

Reilly says construction projects, like the ongoing development of Wood Supermarket in Sunrise Beach, could easily present the district with a situation where they have a very small window of opportunity to make a rescue if someone is crushed, and the air bags are the perfect way to accomplish that type of rescue.
