Hours Cut at Two Miller County Post Offices
Thursday, February 7th, 2013
The elimination of Saturday mail delivery isn’t the only impact of the budget cuts at the Postal Service. Changes are coming to some Lake area post offices. Effective February 23rd, the St. Elizabeth post office will only be open four hours per day — from 8 am. to noon — Monday thru Friday. Most of the postal customers responding to a survey said they would rather see hours cut than lose their post office all together. The Ulman post office has already reduced its hours and is only open from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday and 10 to 11:45 on Saturdays.
