Magic Dragon Pipes and Drum Band Members in Texas
A Lake area group will be a part of the funeral Monday in Texas for US Navy Seal Chris Kyle. Three members of the Magic Dragon Pipes and Drum band, Bag Pipe Major Mike Oakes and Bass Drummer Danny Walter from the Osage Beach Fire Department, and Tim Perez from the Mid County Fire Department left Sunday and will take part in the service that will be held at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas. Kyle was shot to death on February 2nd at a shooting range in Texas. The band says they consider it a great privilege and honor to be asked to assist in a ceremony that will celebrate the life of a true American Hero such as Chris Kyle. The Pipe and Drum band is comprised of members of Lake Area Fire Departments and the band was formed to honor the tradition and heritage of the American Fire Service.
