Battle Continues Over Sunrise Beach Asphalt Plant

A conditional use permit request for an asphalt plant in Sunrise Beach is headed back to the Sunrise Beach Planning and Zoning Commission.  The Board of Trustees at their meeting Monday night voted to send the request back for the Commission or discussion at their next meeting.   City Attorney Greg Williams told the Board, there are eight findings that have to be proven as accurate before the permit can be approved.   The conditional use permit has been requested by Magruder Limestone, Inc after being awarded a contract from MoDOT to repave 28 miles of Highway 5 between Camdenton and  Versailles.  The next meeting for the Sunrise Beach Planning and Zoning Commission will be on Monday, March 4^th at 6:00 p.m.
