Disorderly Conduct Ordinance Passes in Lake Ozark

There is now a disorderly conduct ordinance in Lake Ozark.  At the Board of Alderman meeting Tuesday night, the bill passed by a vote of five to nothing.  The ordinance is focused on abusive and offensive language as well as obscene gestures that would invoke or incite violence.  The ordinance also prohibits fighting in a public place and does not allow someone to display a firearm or dangerous weapon in a threatening manner in a public place.  The ordinance had been requested by Police Chief Mark Maples to help assist officers and to help maintain order.
