Gun Sales Continue to Soar
The run on guns continues. Jim Reis, owner of the Lake area’s largest firearms store, Pistols Plus in Osage Beach, says he’s seen no slowdown in sales. When acts of violence shake the nation, sales of guns go up:

In his State of the Union address Tuesday night, President Obama called for universal background checks for all gun purchasers. Jim Reis says most illegal weapons are purchased at hun shows, estate sales and auctions where, because of a loophole in the law, background checks aren’t required:
Reis believes the Brady Bill, which restricts the sale of high capacity ammunition magazines, wil probably be put back on the books.
