Morgan County Updating Hazard Mitigation Plan
Wednesday, February 13th, 2013
Missouri has experienced seven natural disasters in the past five years. Morgan County has had several Presidential disaster declarations as a result of the damage they caused. Recognizing the impact disasters have, Morgan County is updating its Hazard Mitigation Plan, with a goal of reducing or eliminating the long-term risk to human life and property from natural hazards. A public workshop sponsored by the Lake of the Ozarks Council of Local Governments and Morgan County Emergency Management will be held tonight at 6:30, at the Morgan County Justice Center.
