Fatal Accident in Lake Ozark

A 75-year old rural Lebanon man is dead after his car goes off of Highway 54 near the Osage River Bridge.  Lake Ozark Police say the crash happened Wednesday afternoon.  An investigation shows that Charles West suffered a heart attack before the accident.  His car side swiped both sides of the bridge before going down a steep hill and into a creek near the Riverview RV Campground.  West was pronounced dead at the scene by the Miller County coroner.  The crash was investigated by the Lake Ozark Police Department and the Miller County Coroner’s Office, with assistance from the Lake Ozark Fire Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
