Storm Damage Reports

Storms rolled through the Lake area this afternoon, bringing rain, heavy winds and lighting that knocked out power briefly in Osage Beach during the 3 :00 hour. Quarter-sized hail was reported near Russellville in Moniteau County and thunderstorm wind gusts blew down two barns in the Buffalo area. Polk County Emergency Management officer Robert Dickson says the damage was clearly caused by straight line winds:

More storms are expected later this week with possible snow and ice accumulations.
