Utility Companies Prepare for Approaching Storm

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch, in effect from late Wednesday night thru Thursday afternoon, for most of Missouri including Camden, Miller and Morgan counties.
Co-Mo Electric Cooperative is ready for the storm, according to spokesman John Agliata:

Co-Mo officials say ice storms are among the most devastating weather events that can hit the electric grid. The heavy weight of ice collecting on power lines can cables or topple power poles. Icy roads can hamper crews attempting to restore power.
