Trial for Van Note Murder Defendant Delayed

The trial of one of the three defendants in the William Van Note murder case, scheduled to begin Tuesday, has been delayed.  42-year-old Desre Dory is charged with second degree murder and forgery …  accused of helping forge a Durable Power of Attorney document that led to Van Note  being removed from life support after he and his girlfriend were shot and stabbed at his Sunrise Beach vacation home in October, 2010.  The trial has been delayed at the request of the prosecution. The defense did not object to the continuance.  A new trial date is expected to be set at a hearing on March 11th.
