Van Note Murder Suspect in Court

A suspect in a 2010 Sunrise Beach murder is expected to be in court Monday.  Desre Dory of Shawnee, Kansas is charged with second degree murder and forgery in the death of William Van Note.  Dory is scheduled to be in a Boone County court room for a hearing.  He was originally scheduled to go on trial in February.  Van Note was shot and stabbed in his Sunrise Beach home in October of 2010.  He was taken to a Columbia hospital and died a few days later.    Prosecutors say his daughter, Susan Van Note, along with Dory and his wife Stacy, allegedly forged a do not resuscitate order for William.  Dory remains free on bond.
