Saturday, March 16th, 2013
St. Patrick’s Day weekend is the unofficial start of “the season” at Lake of the Ozarks. The Lake West Chamber of Commerce will be putting on their 22nd annual St. Patrick’s Parade on the Water beginning at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Executive Director Mike Kenagy says the activities actually begin at 9 a.m. with a breakfast buffet:
For those who’d rather stay on dry land, there’s the 29th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on the Strip in Lake Ozark. Jeff Carroll with the Bagnell Dam Strip Association expects over 100 entries, from marching bands to festive floats, in the “old fashioned” parade stepping off at 1:00:
A crowd of about 5,000 people is expected.
