Morgan County Official Wins Lawsuit
The Morgan County treasurer will be receiving more than 90 thousand dollars as the result of a back pay lawsuit. Louella Pryor had filed the suit in 2012 after learning that she was being paid less than other county officials. Retired Howard County Judge Ralph Jaynes presided over the case. He ruled that because Pryor was paid 74 percent of the state mandated maximum salary while other officials were making 100 percent she was owed the back pay. The eight years of back pay amounts to 93 thousand dollars.
