Amendment Eight, the Veterans lottery ticket failed to pass on Tuesday by a 10% margin. The plan of the Amendment was to create a new lottery ticket that people could purchase where funds would go to benefit area Veterans. Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars office in Camdenton, Lance Kellogg, believes it was an education issue that caused the measure to fail
Kellogg says with this not passing it will continue to be difficult on the state’s veterans as they are already facing money issues along with issues in the healthcare at the V.A. hospitals.
