As temperatures rise this summer, so does the threat of scams. The better Business Bureau is warning that summertime scams are on the rise across the Lake of the Ozarks. The BBB says one of the most prevalent scams this time of year involves people going door to door offering to do small odd jobs. Scammers ask for money in advance and never do the work. Other popular scams this time of year include fake concert tickets, travel agencies, moving companies and fake job opportunities. Residents are urged to be on the lookout for summertime scams.
