Several business owners have yet to pay for their business licenses in Warsaw. According to the City Clerk, Tina Lomax, more than a dozen business owners have yet to contact the city about their fees. The city is extending the renewal period until their August 4th Board of Alderman meeting. During the previous meeting, the board discussed replacing the deck of the swinging bridge over the Lake of the Ozarks, which is no longer in use due to deterioration of the deck. After reviewing contracts for replacing the deck, the board elected to develop a detailed specifications list to make sure the replacement meets the needs of the people. The board also approved a grant of $21,750 to the quad lakes solid waste management district for improvements to the Osage Lake Greenways Park and they approved a bid for the new scoreboards at the Bledsoe sports complex. The City Clerk also noted that sales tax receipts are up by 3.9% from last year.
