The Camden County Commission discussed the proposed changes to the Unified Land Use Code at yesterday’s meeting. While they are still debating the exact wording, cost and changes that need to be made the discussion remains the same. Several business owners and residents where improperly zoned years ago when the Camden County planning and zoning department first opened its doors. Several suggestions have been brought up by 2nd district commissioner Cliff Luber including the idea of removing the $800 fees associated with the rezoning process. 3rd district Commissioner Beverly Thomas says it’s important that they get this right for the county
The Commission tabled any changes for a later date as they want to make sure all of the ideas and plans are presented and categorized properly before the changes are official.
