The Camden County Sheriff’s Department is looking into replacing some rather old vehicles currently in service. According to Camden County Sheriff Dwight Franklin, the county’s sales tax numbers are up for the year and the department is ready to create their new budget which he hopes could include replacing the worn out vehicles:
Franklin says these vehicles are getting quite the workout with the department being as busy as ever:
Franklin says the goal is to redo their budget for the year to reflect the increase in sales tax for the community and budget in to replace some of the more worn out vehicles. He says the department is behind in replacing them because they are trying to be good stewards of the community’s money.
